Nneka Amucheazi is the Team Lead for Contract and Commercial at Energia Limited, (a Nigerian marginal oilfield company) and a lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in Corporate Commercial, Company Secretarial, Energy Law & Policy and Power generation law practice.
Nneka’s skills are underpinned by over a decade of law practice gained in different capacities at various law firms in Nigeria. She is a Member of the UK Energy Institute (MEI), Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, UK (ACIS).
Nneka continues to demonstrate her passion for the Energy industry through service and pro-bono work and she has held various portfolios in the Nigerian branch of the Energy Institute since 2009, actively participating in many energy symposia and training. Nneka’s broad knowledge of energy law garnered from years in law practice and in industry expands into policy regulation and corporate transactions in the oil and gas industry, negotiation and people skills managing host community relationships in Nigeria through successfully negotiated Memoranda of Understanding for specific Host Communities and Impacted Communities in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
Nneka is the best-selling author of Nigeria’s Power Structure: Competition or Monopoly? Also, some of her articles have featured in the Africa Regional Forum Journal of the International Bar Association, as well as Oil, Gas and Energy Law Intelligence Journal.
