Desiba Energy to Build 20MW Solar Plant in Gabon

Representatives from the Turkish-based Desiba Energy Group met with Gabon’s Minister of Investment Promotion, Carmen Ndaot, to discuss the development of a 20MW solar power plant in Mouille, Gabon.

Taking place in Libreville earlier this month, the meeting, led by Ulkan Delikan, Desiba Energy’s Managing Director, aimed to provide insight into Gabon’s investment framework in which the proposed solar plant will be constructed.

According to Ndaot, the proposed solar plant is part of the country’s Transformation Acceleration Plan of the Economy, “which aims to strengthen the energy sector, a sector support for growth which will make it possible to accelerate the development of priority sectors.” By ensuring an investor friendly and enabling business environment, the two entities aim to accelerate solar developments and expand domestic capacity throughout Gabon.
