Offshore drilling contractor Seadrill has won a $131 million 12- well contract for the Sonangol Quenguela drillship via Sonadrill – its local joint venture with a Sonangol subsidiary – with one option for nine wells and eleven one-well options in Angola.

Start-up is expected in the first quarter of 2022 and will continue until the third quarter of 2023.

“Sonadrill is a strategic partnership in an important deepwater basin. The operational excellence and experience of our team has driven this expansion of the joint venture.
