Nigeria: UTM Offshore Teams up with Foreign Firms on FLNG Plant

Nigerian oil and gas firm, UTM Offshore, has teamed up with Japanese engineering company, JGC Corporations, and US-based engineering, procurement and construction company, Kellog Brown & Root (KBR) for the development of its 176 million cubic feet per day Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) plant.

JGC Corporations will undertake the Pre-Front End Engineering Design (Pre-FEED), while KBR will carry out a third-party review of the Pre-FEED deliverables.

The country’s first-ever FLNG plant, which will be anchored at the Yolo oil field, received its License-to-Establish by the Department of Petroleum Resources in February.
