Grindstone accelerator program is aimed at scaling up high-growth and innovation-driven SMEs in South Africa, is now accepting applications.

Grindstone is an organized, equity-free entrepreneurship development program that helps high-growth, innovative SMEs become more competitive and fundable.

Via growth assessment, gap identification, and value-adding interventions, it supports South African scale-up businesses in a year-long engagement with expertise, networks, market access opportunities, and funding preparation.

“Grindstone is a company that promotes entrepreneurship. Since the beginning of the program in 2014, this has been our primary goal. This model is still being developed and improved in order to provide meaningful impact to all of our founders as well as the wider startup community, which includes alumni, advisors, angel investors, and partners. Grindstone program director Will Green said, “Engineering success is multi-faceted, and we have the frontline expertise to advise founders on their development path.”

The new Grindstone accelerator programs in Cape Town and Johannesburg are now accepting applications, with 20 South African innovation-driven SMEs receiving help in rapidly increasing their companies.
