The Nigerian government is planning on opening mini gas distribution channels across the local governments in the country.  

This was revealed last Friday in Abuja during the inauguration of the Nigerian Women for Liquefied Petroleum Gas project, organized by the federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Zigma Gas Limited, and the National Centre for Women’s Development (NCWD). 

Brenda Ataga, Special Assistant on LPG to H.E. Chief Timipre Sylva, noted the importance of gas as a cleaner energy source as opposed to firewood.
