NUPENGASSAN shuts down OML 98 flow-station, gas facility

Employees of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited, under the aegis of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, on Wednesday shut down the Oil Mining Lease, OML, 98 flow-station and the Ovade-Ogharefe gas processing facility in Delta State.

SweetcrudeReports learnt that the action followed the directive of the national body of the two unions.

This has led to the shut-in of over 30,000 barrels of oil per day, bpd, and 50 million cubic feet of gas. A competent source, who pleaded anonymity, said the shut down became inevitable following the expiration of a 48-hour ultimatum issued by the unions to the Federal Government, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and Pan Ocean management on Friday, December 4, 2020.
