PIB: NNPC to collaborate with N’Assembly

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC has said it would work closely with the National Assembly to ensure speedy passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill, PIB.

A statement by Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Kennie Obateru quoting The Group Managing Director, Mallam Mele Kyari said the national oil company “would collaborate with the lawmakers in its efforts to get budget approvals for critical projects.” Kyari who made the remarks at a meeting with the Chairman House Committee on Gas Resources, Mr Nicholas Mutu and his team visited him in his office, expressed gratitude to the committee for its continued support to the corporation.

“The GMD, who was represented by the Chief Operating Officer, Gas and Power, Mr. Yusuf Usman, said NNPC will continue to engage and seek further support for approvals of budgets appropriated for critical gas infrastructure projects as well as the speedy passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) 2020 which is currently before the National Assembly.
