Siemens Energy wins Mozambique LNG work

Siemens Energy will provide six industrial gas turbines and boil-off gas compressors to the Total-led Mozambique LNG project.

The company was chosen by CCS JV, which is building the Mozambique plant, to supply its SGT-800 industrial gas turbines. Siemens will also provide four centrifugal compressors for boil-off gas. Siemens intends to deliver the gas turbines in the second half of 2021 and the first half of 2022. The company should deliver compressors in 2021.

“Mozambique LNG is the country’s first onshore LNG development project and will play a key role in meeting the increasing demand for energy in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Indian sub-continent markets,” said Siemens Energy Industrial Applications’ executive vice president Thorbjoern Fors.
