Shell targets 300Mscf/d in Assa North gas project

Dutch oil giant, Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, SPDC, has hinted that its Assa North Gas project, has the capacity for 300million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

The multinational energy firm also disclosed that the project has the potential to be one of the largest domestic gas projects in Nigeria when completed.

The Assa North/Ohaji South gas project, which cuts across Imo and Rivers State, is a joint venture project, involving SPDC, NNPC, Total E&P Nigeria Limited, and Nigerian Agip Oil Company, and will result in a new SPDC gas processing plant.
