Caroline is a multilingual Conference Manager with 2yrs 6months experience in organizing high profile and business focused conferences. She is dedicated to the energy and natural resources industry and thus produces the biggest and longest running conference in Africa, Power & Electricity World Africa and the Solar Show Africa.
The PEWA and Solar Show is an annual event that creates a platform for industry heavyweights and solution providers, to converge and address key issues relating to energy in speaking sessions and panel discussions. Caroline has brought together former Heads of State, advisors and ministers of energy, finance and development, CEOs of IPPs, director generals of electricity utilities; who head policy making and change, poverty, and empowering communities through energy access and security. She has used her language skills in French and Swahili to include the Francophone and East African community in this event, due to the importance she attaches to a united and inclusive Africa.
Caroline sees the need for the inclusivity and empowerment of women and the youth in the journey to accessible and reliable energy in Africa. Hosting the Women in Energy Seminar at PEWA 2019 saw the launch of AWEAP (Africa Women in Energy and Power), an organization designed to accelerate African women entrepreneurs’ participation in the Power and Energy sector. A mix of the right professionals and influencers, set the stage for the showcase of innovations and discussions on funding and involvement in bigger initiatives. In light of the current pandemic, she has taken an active role in educating the market by organizing webinars that focus on a variety of energy themes.
