aef hosts digital energy community networking platform

Following the postponement of the Africa Energy Forum (aef) to October 2020, the organisers hosted a digital content and networking platform ‘aef2.0’ for Africa’s energy community over the previous dates of the Forum, between 30 June and 3 July.

Under the theme ‘Investment & Impact: Out of Response and Into Recovery,’ aef2.0 examined the effect of COVID-19 on Africa’s energy sector, responses happening across the value chain and predictions for the long-term impact on investment and project development.

Over 2,000 attendees joined a series of digital panel discussions and debates featuring key stakeholders such as Power AfricaAggrekoIFC, the African Development Bank, IEA, SiemensWärtsiläNedbankActisAbsaDFCSEforAll, and more.
