Nwabisa started her career in the South and East Africa regions focusing on Mozambique, Namibia and Kenya offshore exploration campaigns. She has led numerous technical evaluations in basins such as the MSGBC Basin in The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau & Senegal, Benin Basin, Namibe Basin in Angola, Outeniqua, Orange & the Zululand Basins in South Africa.
Due to her solid background in the geoscience space, she transitioned to Tullow’ corporate planning and commercial function as a Senior Business Analyst where she was responsible for exploration portfolio management, valuation, budgeting & planning, monthly and quarterly board reporting and strategic analysis for the group exploration team, reporting to the Exploration Director. Most recently, she has taken on the role of Senior Geologist to work on identifying and maturing exploration opportunities in the Africa Transform Margin with a special focus in Côte d’Ivoire.
She holds Master’s and Bachelor’s (distinction) degrees in Petroleum Geology from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. Outside of work, Nwabisa is an outdoor enthusiast advocating for inclusion and diversity in the outdoors, especially for young black women. She is passionate about hiking, trekking and camping.
