Yorm is a bilingual Legal Practitioner and a Harvard Certified Negotiator with 4 years’ experience in corporate, commercial and transactional law, consulting for over 20 corporate and 70 individual clients. She has recorded 100% success on oil and gas dispute settlements and arbitration cases worth about USD 7m.
In 2014, she obtained her master’s degree in oil and gas Law with professional skills from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, where her outstanding academic performance won her the Ede & Ravenscroft 2014 Prize for academic Excellence. Within the same period, Yorm got certified by the Oil and Gas Academy of Scotland as an oil and gas contract negotiator. She was called to the Bar in 2016 after which she joined Bentsi Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, a leading law firm in Ghana, with practice focusing primarily on corporate law, litigation, oil and gas and mining Law. Currently, she advices on petroleum agreements, regulatory and compliance framework, tax, labor and employment issues in the oil and gas sector.
Yorm is certified in Human Rights and Oil and Gas Law from the Fordham University and her passion for human rights law was reflected in how she won a total of 57 human rights cases involving indigents over a 12 months’ period in her position as Assistant Public Defender under the Legal Aid Commission, where she continues her pro-bono service.
Outside the courtroom, Yorm enjoys travelling and reading Christian Literature. She is passionate about women empowerment and an advocate of SDG 4, 5, 16 and 17.
