NNPC: Crude oil is still the primary source of energy

At a presentation just concluded in Any Shani International Petroleum Exhibition Conference (ADIPEC), in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mr Roland Ewubare the Chief Operating Officer (COO), upstream of NNPC, has a lot of confidence that there hasn’t really been a consistent means of replacing crude oil, and beliefs that it would remain relevant as the primary source of energy for the seven billion people on the earth. 

He said “Yes there will be some regions that will migrate towards renewables, but don’t forget that growth in terms of absolute numbers and economic expansion comes primarily from Africa and Asia. 

NNPC is as much involved in renewable energy as any other firm, it’s division has a lot of initiatives in place which includes solar, ethanol and biomass, in as much as most of these initiatives are in the incubation stages
