Tolu started her career as an Application Specialist for a Biotech firm 13 years ago, she has since
found her passion and moved into other areas such as Project management & E-commerce. She
worked for over 5 years in Project management for various Tech, Fintech and Finance Institutions.
Some of the companies worked with are the Nationwide bank, Ebury UK, her last Project Manager
role was with Basekit-a software company based in the UK, where she worked in the HR & Finance
department. She project managed the deployment of the company’s HRIS system and re-vamped
the company’s entire Billing process. The revamp led to a 200% increase in monthly revenue for the
company for which she got the CEO’s recognition and monetary award.

Tolu started her entrepreneurial journey 10 years ago, she set up and ran a small recruitment
franchise called Additional Resources for a couple of years, where she sourced and recruited for
companies in the technology space. Currently she is the founder and owner of Vanilla Vogue
(Vanillavogue.com). A Fashion Brand in the UK that brings pieces and items of fashion straight from
designers to the marketplace. She also runs Be Your Own Boss a business management firm.

Tolu is passionate about empowering and bring inspiration to the world around her. She is currently
the Chairperson and Founder of Precious Pearl, a registered charity in the UK. Precious Pearl was
launched in July 2018 by the Mayor of Thurrock and Deputy Mayor or Brentwood Essex. It’s
presently a small organisation with 15 members and volunteers, some of whom are trained Mentors
& Coaches. The organisation works with small companies and individuals who are struggling by
helping to empower and support them in the marketplace. Precious Pearls renders supports by
providing a range of resources through seminars, podcasts, awards, exhibitions, workshops &
conferences as well mentoring & coaching opportunities. The maiden edition of her award called
“Precious Pearl Community Champions Awards” was launched in 2018 by the Mayor or Thurrock,
Essex. The aim of award is to give support and strengthen the community. Precious Pearl also
works with other charities like the Aged UK and British red Cross giving out hundreds of care
packages and hygiene products to those in need every Christmas.
